1st Craft Fair of the Year! Ocean ho!

NEW YEAR, NEW GOURD KITS

Hello! Happy New Year!

2010..........let's see, I will get organized, I will stop drinking coffee, ok forget it! I can't do any of the above! I am now officially taking volunteers to help me take down Christmas........I really dislike the aftermath..........Ok, here is the awesome, coolio good news, have you heard?? Blue Rock Gourds now has DIY gourd birdhouse kits available in my Etsy store, check them out:

This kit comes complete with a drilled 8 inch gourd, leather strap for hanging, 1 piece of lamb's wool for staining and 1 4oz. bottle of Fiebings leather dye, the only dye for gourds. If you would like to test the waters in gourds, this is the kit for you.

WOW, what a month BRG has had! Cookie baking, gourd orders, tree trimming, gourd orders, wrapping gifts, gourd orders, holiday shows, gourd orders..............we are so THANKFUL for all the wonderful customers we have met.

Thank you for making Blue Rock Gourds a dream come true.............we are blessed with so many great people in our life. We are taking a break till the New Year but we have very exciting news in the New Year..................I smell flowers...........stay tuned for all the details! What a month December is turning out to be! Gourd craziness!

I had the PLEASURE of meeting a very wonderful lady, Sue Donohue.

Never realizing her family was famous in the car racing field, her son David Donohue http://www.rsportscars.com/eng/articles/record_carrera.asp (great link, check it out). I meet Sue at a craft market and she contacted me to do a home show. BRG never did a home show but what the heck let's try it! It was a blast! I called it a "Gourd Gathering". Sue was a gracious hostess and her friends were lovely.

Of course I have been thinking about these "Gourd Gatherings" and in the New Year and I will be releasing my new home party plan for "Gourd Gatherings and I am currently looking for representatives in the USA! How exciting or gourdciting! Gourd Gatherings will also offer a nice variety of handmade artist's works. Nothing from China or out of a box. Keep check back for details.
